Welcome to Becoming Your Best Self

Perhaps you've spent years trying to understand why you think, feel or react the way you do.

You've talked things through.

Read the books.

Listened to the podcasts.

Yet something still feels stuck.

I want you to know something that sits at the heart of everything I do.

I don't believe there is anything fundamentally wrong with you.

I believe your nervous system has been doing exactly what it was designed to do...

Protect you.

The encouraging news is that the nervous system can also learn that the present is different from the past.

And that's where healing begins.

Anxiety, Overthinking & Nervous System Support

Many of the people I work with appear to be coping well on the outside.

Inside, they feel exhausted.

They may experience:

  • Anxiety and persistent worry
  • Overthinking that never seems to switch off
  • Emotional overwhelm or burnout
  • Stress linked to work or relationships
  • Feeling stuck despite understanding things logically
  • The lasting effects of difficult or traumatic life experiences

If this sounds familiar...

You're not broken.

Your nervous system may simply be asking for a different kind of support.

How Healing Happens

Healing isn't about becoming someone new.

It's about creating the conditions in which your nervous system experiences enough safety to begin letting go of the protective patterns it no longer needs.

As that happens, many people naturally rediscover greater calm.

Greater clarity.

Greater confidence.

Greater hope.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing people realise that the answers they've been searching for were often within them all along.

How I Work

Every person is unique.

That's why I don't follow a rigid formula.

I combine integrative counselling with Cognomovement, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and other nervous-system-informed approaches to gently help process the experiences that continue to trigger anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm.

Rather than simply helping you manage difficult emotions, our work aims to reduce the emotional intensity behind them, allowing healthier patterns to emerge naturally.

Sessions are warm, compassionate and tailored entirely to you.

Work With Me

Online or in Person

I offer sessions online worldwide via Zoom and in person from Harley Street, London.

Many people are surprised to discover how effective online sessions can be. In fact, working from the comfort and familiarity of home often helps people feel even more relaxed and open to the process.

If you're wondering whether my approach feels right for you, I offer a free 15-minute discovery call.

It's an opportunity for us to explore what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have and decide together whether we're the right fit.

Healing begins with feeling safe.

Every gentle experience of safety gives your nervous system an opportunity to learn that the present is different from the past.

Over time...

Those experiences can change the way you respond to life.

And perhaps, most importantly...

They can help you rediscover the person you have always been.

Stories of Hope and Healing

Every person's journey is unique.

No two people arrive with exactly the same experiences, and no two journeys through therapy are ever identical.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing people gradually rediscover a sense of calm, confidence and hope that they thought had been lost.

I'm deeply grateful to those who have kindly shared a little of their journey in the hope that it may encourage someone else to take their own first step.

Perhaps, as you read their words, you'll begin to see that healing is possible for you too.

Testimonials

Every Journey Begins with One Step

The people whose words you've just read all had one thing in common.

At some point, they decided to reach out.

Not because they had all the answers.

But because they were open to the possibility that life could feel different.

If you're reading this and wondering whether therapy could help you too, I'd like you to know that you don't have to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

Sometimes the bravest step is simply beginning the conversation.

If my approach resonates with you, I'd be delighted to offer you a free 15-minute discovery call.

Together, we can explore what you're looking for and whether we're the right fit.

There is no pressure.

Just a warm conversation and the opportunity to take your first gentle step towards healing.

Why Talking Alone Isn't Always Enough

Many people come to me saying the same things:

"I understand why I feel this way ... so why do I still react like this?"

It's a wonderful question.

And the answer often lies not in the thinking mind, but in the nervous system.

Insight is valuable. Understanding your past can be incredibly important. But insight alone doesn't always change the way your nervous system responds.

That's because your nervous system isn't responding to what you know.

It's responding to what it has learned through experience.

If you've lived through prolonged stress, anxiety, trauma or difficult life events, your nervous system may have adapted to protect you by remaining on high alert. Even when life becomes safer, those protective patterns can continue long after they're needed.

That's why you may find yourself overthinking, feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed or reacting in ways that don't make sense to you.

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with you.

Your nervous system has simply been trying to protect you.

Where Cognomovement Can Help

Cognomovement is a gentle, neuroscience-informed approach tht supports the brain and nervous system to process experiences in a different way.

Rather than asking you to relive painful memories or analyse every detail of your past, Cognomovement uses specific eye movements, body movement and focused attention to help the brain integrate information more effectively.

As the nervous system begins to experience greater safety, many people notice that the emotional intensity connected to difficult experiences gradually begins to reduce.

What often surprises clients most is that they don't have to force themselves to think differently.

New insights emerge naturally.

Situations that once felt overwhelming often begin to feel manageable.

Reactions that once happened automatically may gradually lose their intensity.

Many clients tell me they leave sessions feeling lighter, calmer, clearer and more hopeful.

A Different Way of Understanding Change

One of the things I love most about Cognomovement is that it beautifully reflects something I've come to believe after more than twenty years of working with people.

I don't believe there is anything fundamentally wrong with you.

I believe your nervous system has been doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Protecting you.

When your nervous system experiences enough safety, it can begin learning that the present is different from the past.

As that happens, people often discover that they don't need someone to tell them how to think.

They naturally begin seeing themselves, their lives and their future differently.

They don't become someone new.

They rediscover who they truly are.

If you're curious about whether this approach might be right for you, I'd be delighted to explore that with you during a free 15-minute discovery call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking about therapy?

It's completely natural to have questions.

For many people, reaching out is the hardest part.

You don't need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

You don't even need to know exactly where to begin.

If something in your life doesn't fel quite right, that's enough.

Below are some of the questions people most often ask before taking that first step.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

Many of the people I work with appear to be coping well on the outside while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or stuck in patterns that don't seem to change.

If you're longing to fel calmer, more confident or simply more like yourself again, therapy may be the beginning of that journey.

What makes your approach different?

One belief sits at the heart of everything I do.

I don't believe there is anything fundamentally wrong with you.

Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?", I gently explore what your nervous system has been trying to protect you from.

I combine integrative counselling with nervous-system-informed approaches, including Cognomovement and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), helping people process difficult experiences rather than simply learning to cope with them.

My aim isn't simply to reduce symptoms.

It's to help create the conditions in which lasting healing can naturally unfold.

What happens during the first session?

Our first session is simply a conversation.

We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you'd like to be different, and begin to understand your story together.

There is no pressure to tell me everything.

There is no expectation that you'll know exactly what to say.

We simply begin where you are.

Will I have to talk about things I'm not ready to discuss?

No.

Feeling safe is an important part of the therapeutic process.

We'll always work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you remain in control throughout our work together.

There is never any pressure to revisit experiences before you're ready.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person is different.

Some people come with one particular issue they'd like support with, while others choose to continue therapy over a longer period of time.

We'll regularly review your progress together and ensure our work continues to meet your needs and goals.

Do you offer online as well as in-person sessions?

Yes.

I work with clients online throughout the UK and internationally via Zoom, as well as offering face-to-face sessions from Harley Street, London.

Many people are pleasantly surprised by how effective online sessions can be, Being in the comfort of your own home often helps people feel more relaxed, allowing the nervous system to settle more naturally.

What are Cognomovement and EFT?

Cognomovement and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) are gentle, nervous-system-informed approaches that I may integrate alongside counselling where appropriate.

Rather than replacing traditional therapy, they can help reduce emotional intensity, support nervous system regulation and allow difficult experiences to be processed in a different way.

Every session is tailored to you, so we'll always use the approaches that best support your individual needs.

What if I become emotional during a session?

That's completely okay.

There is no right or wrong way to experience therapy.

Tears, laughter, silence, uncertainty and relief are all welcome.

My role is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel safe, heard and understood.

Do you offer a free discovery call?

Yes.

I offer a free 15-minute discovery call.

It's an opportunity for us to have a relaxed conversation about what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have, and decide together whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.

There is no pressure and no obligation.

I'll respond as soon as possible, and together we'll arrange a convenient time to talk.

Perhaps This Is the Right Time

If you've found yourself reading this page, perhaps a part of you is already wondering whether life could feel different.

I'd like you to leave with one thought.

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with you.

Your nervous system has been doing exactly what it was designed to do...

Protect you.

Healing begins when it experiences enough safety to discover that the present is different from the past.

You don't want to walk that journey alone.

Whenever you're ready, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.

About Me

I believe there is nothing fundamentally wrong with you.

That belief sits at the heart of everything I do.

It didn't come from a textbook.

It has been shaped by my own life, my own healing journey, and more than twenty years of walking alongside people as they rediscover hope, resilience and themselves.

Like many people, I know what it feels like to experience life's challenges.

Those experiences taught me something I have never forgotten.

Our nervous system is incredibly wise.

When life feel overwhelming, uncertain or painful, it adapts to protect us.

The difficulty is that those protective patterns can continue long after they are needed, leaving us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or disconnected from from who we truly are.

I don't believe those patterns define us.

I believe they are signs of a nervous system that has been doing its very best to help us survive.

That understanding changed the way I saw myself.

It also transformed the way I work with others.

My Philosophy of Healing

I believe every person has an innate capacity for goodness, growth and healing.

Life's experiences may influence how we show up in the world, but they never define who we truly are.

Healing isn't about becoming someone different.

It's about creating the conditions in which the nervous system experiences enough safety to gradually let go of the protective patterns it no longer needs.

As that happens...

People often rediscover qualities that were never lost.

Calm.

Confidence.

Curiosity.

Connection.

Joy.

In many ways, healing is less about changing who we are...

...and more about allowing our true selves to gently unfold.

How I Work

I combine integrative counselling with nervous-system-informed approaches, including Cognomovement and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Every session is tailored to the individual because every person's experiences are unique.

Rather than simply helping people manage difficult emotions, my aim is to help process the experiences that continue to trigger them.

As the emotional intensity begins to settle, many people naturally discover new ways of thinking, feeling and responding to life.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing people realise that the answers they have been searching for were often within them all along.

My Own Journey

My own wellbeing remains incredibly important to me.

Each morning, I begin my day with gratitude and a Cognomovement session before seeing clients.

It's a simple practice that helps me remain grounded, present and connected to myself.

Life still brings challenges.

I still experience disappointment, sadness and uncertainty.

The difference is that I understand them differently now.

Over the years, I have come to appreciate that healing doesn't mean never struggling again.

It means relating to ourselves with greater compassion, understanding and freedom.

That personal journey continues every day, and I believe it helps me meet each client with genuine empathy, curiosity and hope.

My Experience

Since qualifying in 2023, I've had the privilege of supporting adults, young people, couples and families through a wide range of emotional challenges.

My work draws upon extensive professional training in:

  • Integrative Counselling
  • Cognomovement
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • EMDR-informed techniques
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Reiki
  • Reflexology
  • Swedish Massage
  • Wellbeing, Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology

I've also worked alongside schools, local authorities, Family and Children's Services and have provided voluntary support for NHS staff.

Every experience has reinforced one simple truth.

People are far more resilient than they often realise.

Sometimes they simply need the right conditions to rediscover that for themselves.

If You're Reading This...

Perhaps something on this page has resonated with you.

If so, I'd like you to leave with one thought.

There is hope.

No matter how long you've been struggling, I don't believe your story is finished.

Sometimes the first step isn't learning to become someone new.

It's discovering that the person you've been searching for has been within you all along.

If you're ready to begin that journey, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.
